What is Absolute Fitness?
Infinite metabolic power that can match infinite metabolic capacity.
What is Metabolism?
What is Infinite Metabolic Power?
Ability to deliver oxygen to every cell 24/7 irrespective of demand in consumption.
What is Infinite Metabolic Capacity?
The ability of infinite catabolism and anabolism.
What are anabolism and catabolism?
Anabolism is the set of metabolic pathways that construct molecules from smaller units. These reactions require energy, known also as an endergonic process. Anabolism is the building-up aspect of metabolism. Whereas catabolism is the breaking-down aspect. Anabolism is usually synonymous with biosynthesis.
What is infinite catabolism?
Ability to produce ATP by efficient conversion of macronutrients.
What is ATP?
What is infinite anabolism?
Ability to convert ATP into infinite power used for cell contraction and Protein Synthesis.
What is infinite Protein Synthesis?
Using ATP and nutrients for cell detox, repair, replication, and growth. This results in healthy living and long-living by increased telomere length and delaying untimely apoptosis and senescence.
Why Yoga is absolute fitness?
Because it creates infinite metabolism matching infinite power.
Why not Gym resistance training?
The limitation is metabolism and more anaerobic capacity. This dynamism is suitable for the fight and flight mechanism. Limited ATP capacity, more consumption of calories or oxygen,
Why not endurance or cardiac training?
One hour of Endurance training:
More metabolic power by increased VO2 Max by increased consumption of calories, oxygen, and limited ability to burn fat, unless its marathon kind. Wear & tear is very high and limits ejection fraction hypertension-related problems because of peripheral resistance or limited metabolic capacity. Contains equal anaerobic and aerobic capacity.
More than One-hour endurance training:
The limitation is un-matching metabolic power to metabolic capacity, making the heart and lungs weak and muscles emaciated like in marathon runners, who suffer from low blood pressure and Lung problems. More aerobic very less anaerobic capacity.
Does weight or resistance training as practiced in Gyms and endurance, aerobic, cardiac training practiced by runners, sport, aerobic exercises, and Zumba achieve Absolute Fitness?
No… they all result in more consumption of calories, oxygen, and more maintenance of the body. They can never achieve unlimited metabolic power matching unlimited metabolic capacity. This means reducing the consumption of calories and oxygen for increased ATP, or conservation of energetic resources.
How about other exercises?
All other exercises increase the consumption of calories and oxygen, causing metabolic imbalance. Yoga reduces the consumption of calories and oxygen resulting in the conservation of energy.
How do other exercises increase consumption?
The more you move away from the "Body of Stability" (BOS), the more consumption of energetic resources. The more you move towards the center of the Body Of Stability more conservation of energy. Or in other words, the Centre of Mass is close to the Center of gravity more conservation of energy. How efficiently or energy you spend to reach the center indicates the conservation or consumption. The more you spend, the less efficient, and the less you spend, the more efficient.
How the conservation of energetic resources is achieved?
The objective is to realize the stage of ZERO consumption. A yogi consumes a glass of milk twice a day to sustain his life being active. A yogi entered into Sajiva Samadhi consumes ZERO. The entire practice is based on working within the zone of BOS and towards the center of BOS called the origin.
Prayatna Shaitinya Ananta Samapattibyam - The effort is to be effortless
Entirely you learn to balance for stability. A stable system (Stiratvam) does not consume energy, and thus, sustains the system (sukham). A balanced system (samam) is always stable (stiram).
In Yoga infinite metabolic Power VS infinite metabolic Capacity can be achieved?
With the least input of fuel, getting the highest output of energetic resources is possible, when a cell has more volume and is also filled with more Mitochondria. The higher the mitochondria and the higher the nuclei, the less consumption and more energy (sattwik). Eg.: yoga is like, a car giving more milage and durability by using less fuel based on the design of the engine (conservation). Unlike a race car which consumes more and wears out is fast!
How do you achieve infinite metabolism?
In classical Karnataka, Yoga Asana practice is divided into kramas based on their purpose.
Srishti Krama (Aerobic/Cardiac/Endurance)
This when performed in zero resistance Tibetan and non-Tibetan salutations achieve the required VO2 max easily when combined with breathing technics and meditation practices to achieve zero resistance. The best way to know whether your heart has achieved the intended level of metabolic power is by RHR "rest heart rate" The lower the rest heart rate the better it is.
Within eight weeks if properly practiced 40 to 50 RHR is achievable. The load and pace moving along the axis of BOS is the most important factor.
Rakshana Krama (Resistance/Weight/Metabolic/Anabolic training)
The goal is Lean muscle with the highest mitochondria, with increased cell volume with more nuclei, the entire sequence, and asana is based on
2 : 4 : 4
concentric : eccentric : isometric contractions
for building robust lean muscle with the highest mitochondria.
What are Concentric, Eccentric, and Isometric contractions?
The purpose of involving all muscles is to increase capillary density and to build more cross-bridges of myosin and actin for linear muscle growth. Rakshana karma is the way of designing the type of muscle required. All modern professions don’t involve the body but the brain. More neurons are fired more wiring of the brain happens. For today's brain users, like software developers, lawyers, doctors, etc.
What is needed is more coordination of neuro motors and sensory motors. For that, lean muscles are required. The objective of yoga is the mind with zero stress and sustained energetic resources.
Shikshana Krama (alignment and balance)
Every posture and every sequence has to follow the principles of keeping the center of mass in line with the center of gravity and moving along the axis. Flexions and extensors of the sagittal plane, exterior and interior bend of the frontal plane, and axial rotations of transverse planes need to be understood. Thus muscle and working along its orientation plays a major role in
removing inflammation and conservation of energetic resources. It needs to be understood, that all imbalances or stresses accumulated in the body can be removed and programmed for healthy regrowth. It is not important about performing a posture, but how it is performed by conservation of energetic resources or using less energy for conversion of inertia into acceleration is the criteria.
Adhyatmika Krama:
Every anabolic action or contraction is nothing but the firing of Ca+ ions making cell acidic triggering mechanisms of anabolic for protein synthesis. It has to be followed by relaxation of the cell or catabolism to generate enough ATP by firing K+ ions. The objective is to achieve ZERO resistance which is an ATP generation mechanism. Any resistance is an ATP-consuming mechanism. Hence, the purpose of anabolic is for catabolic contraction is for relaxation. When every asana and sequence follows this. And the mind and body feel relaxed and experience infinite energy the whole day.
Chikitsa Krama:
The therapeutic aspect of yoga is respecting the constitution of each individual (IDPT). It is dynamic and adaptogenic …there is nothing that suits all. Using Upa vinyasas (preparatory asanas) and upa karanas (props) like chair etc… help in overcoming many muscles and skeletal-related problems. The pace and sequencing of asanas help in addressing all modern inflammatory-related diseases. It’s the difficult part of yoga, where the highest understanding is required.
The classical Kurantaka practice belongs to Gompas and Tibetan yoga systems that were learned by late Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, who learned from Rama Manohara Brahmachary near Kailash. This expertise of his lifelong learnings is unlimited and also taught from Gompas Tibetan traditions. The modern ashtanga of Pattabhi Jois, who was a student of Krishnamacharya represents rakshana krama and BKS Iyengar, who is a student and brother-in-law of Krishnamacharya, represents the Shikshan krama of Karnataka style and Desikachar represents chikitsa krama or viniyoga style of Karnataka yoga. But none of them represents all kramas of Karnataka style like their guru! Absolute fitness through yoga means a well-balanced approach to all styles of Karnataka vinyasa.
